Where can I find my upgrade code?

If you've purchased a software upgrade from the Sonarworks store, this guide provides details on where to find and apply your license upgrade code.

In this article:

License upgrade codes

For upgrade products purchased in the Sonarworks Store, the license upgrade code (see the example below) will be delivered to the email address provided in the order details. For physical products from third-party sellers, oftentimes the code can be included in the box physically.

A license upgrade code (different from a license activation key) is an 11-character code, and it is easily recognized from the "UPG-" in the first part of the code:

How to find your upgrade code

If you are struggling to find your code after purchasing, you should be able to locate it by searching for keywords like 'Sonarworks licenses', 'Sonarworks order', or 'Sonarworks Store' in your email history. Check your email spam folders too.

If you haven't received your upgrade code within 5 minutes after completing the purchase, or if you're unable to find it, contact our support team by submitting a support request.

IMPORTANT! If you have purchased an upgrade from a third-party seller, contact the seller for license details.

Applying the upgrade code in your account

To complete the upgrade, simply apply the upgrade code on your existing product license in your Sonarworks Account. Detailed instructions here: How to upgrade a Sonarworks license

  1. Register your existing product license
  2. Click on the 'Upgrade' button
  3. Enter your upgrade code

IMPORTANT! Having purchased and activated Reference 3 or Reference 4 products in the past does NOT create a user account or register your key automatically.

If you're trying to log in and your email address is not recognized, you haven't created a user account yet. Similarly, if the user account is present but there are no licenses in it, you haven't registered your license activation key yet. In this case, the articles below will guide you through the process:
