Where can I find my activation key?

If you've purchased a software license from the Sonarworks Store, this guide will provide details on where to find your activation key and how to register it in your Sonarworks user account.

License activation keys

For full-license products purchased in the Sonarworks Store, your license activation key (see the example below) will be delivered to the email address you provided in the order details. For physical products from third-party sellers, oftentimes the key can be provided in the box physically.

A license activation key (different from a license upgrade code) is a 24-character key, and it is easily recognized in this format:

How to find your activation key

If you are struggling to find your key, you should be able to locate it easily by searching for keywords like 'Sonarworks licenses', 'Sonarworks order', and 'Sonarworks Store' in your email history. Check your email spam folders too.

If you haven't received your activation key within 5 minutes after completing the purchase in the Sonarworks Store, or if you're unable to find it, contact our support team by submitting a request. 

 

IMPORTANT! If you have purchased your license from a third-party seller, contact the seller for license details.

Registering your activation key

To activate your Sonarworks product license, you must first register the activation key in your Sonarworks Account. If you haven't yet created an account yet, sign up here

 

IMPORTANT! Having purchased and activated Reference 3 or Reference 4 products in the past does NOT create a user account or register your key automatically.

If you're trying to log in and your email address is not recognized, you haven't created a user account yet. Similarly, if the user account is present but there are no licenses in it, you haven't registered your license activation key yet. Trialing the software

To start your free 21-day trial simply register an account and select the trial option in the user account. In case you have the software installed first, this process can be done in the SoundID Reference app. More details here: Free trial for SoundID Reference
