Debug Mode in the Measure app

Debug data can help our team investigate an issue with the SoundID Reference Measure app. This guide provides steps on how to collect Measure app debug data.

Using the Debug mode to investigate complex issues

SoundID Reference Measure app features a Debug mode, making it easier to investigate and fix particularly complex speaker measurement issues. The debug data will be essential for our support and development teams to figure out what exactly is causing the problem.

IMPORTANT! The Measure app requires specific configuration aspects in terms of its interaction with your hardware/software and other third-party components. Settings that don't seem obviously related can turn out to be crucial for the Measure app to work. Collecting the Debug data

1. Launch the SoundID Reference Measure app and click on Preferences
2. Enable the Debug mode and Store raw audio in measurement project features
3. Close the Preferences sidebar by clicking on X, click on Get started, and proceed with the speaker measurements up to the point where you're getting stuck. During this stage, feel free to take screenshots, video/audio captures of any errors or other problematic behavior, third-party component configuration aspects, or anything else you consider useful
4. Exit and relaunch the Measure app, and go to Preferences > Assemble logs
5. Click the Submit a request button at the bottom of this page, and attach the logs to it or attach it to an existing ticket via email or the 'My support requests' section in your account. As the size can become rather large, it's best to zip the folders or send a cloud link for download. Provide as much information as possible regarding the hardware, operating system, software, and any third-party components you're using (model names, version numbers, etc.).

Note: The RAW Data feature will store raw audio data, based on the taken measurement that we can then analyze.  Assemble logs will give a 'save as' pop-up, for you to store the gathered files.
