I have two main questions for the agent(s) whom answer these questions.

Is this a lifelong software? I buy it once and I get it forever? I feel foolish for asking it but it's not out of the realm of possibility when it comes to the music/sounds industry. And there was nothing on the store page that specifically said anything about it being a lifelong thing, but on the same side of the coin it didn't say anything about a subscription.

Onto my second query, I would be using this software most specifically for it's equalizing capability, I have Sennheiser 660s' and I like the ability to change the sound graph in such a creative, and customizable manner, is this really the best product for me? I really, I mean really, like the EQ (screen? Plugin?). I've never been good with just the sliders or numbers, this is an intuitive way to adjust my settings with the numbers reflected in my actions not the actions reflected in the numbers if that makes any sense. Is there a similar software that you make that does the exact same thing as the EQ section. I re-read my last sentence and I understand I can adjust the numbers individually along any of my points I'm still really new to this software. It's really a two part question, but assuming this is the software im meant to have is there any sort of tutorial videos SoundID/You recommend to begin understanding shelfs, bells, actually using and understanding the intricacies of the EQ. I like the sound profile i've currently made, I really like this software, props.

Okay so on a final note is there any sort of discount you know that's coming up? I know I missed black Friday but I didn't know this existed 2 days ago, so I'm here now. I'm going to have to buy this either way but if I could save some money it would be great. I would just hate to buy it for $100 and then see it go on sale a week later.

Hi Nicholas,

Thanks for your post and for showing interest in our product!

Regarding the license, if you purchase a SoundID Reference product, you are granted a perpetual license to the software. The software is not subscription-based at this very time.

It's great to hear you are trying out the EQ features in the app! While we provide a flat calibration profile for over 400 headphones (and you can also calibrate your speakers) to help with better mix translation, you can certainly take advantage of the Custom Target to create your customized presets using the EQ and utilize the Translation Check mode to simulate different listening environments.
If you're interested in learning more about equalizers, I can definitely recommend checking out our e-books "Everything Equalizers" (parts I and II), find them here: eBooks (make sure to take a look at our other e-books as well).
In addition, take a look at our blog where we cover various topics to help you get working with SoundID Reference, tips & tricks for mixing, and even headphone reviews: https://www.sonarworks.com/soundid-reference/blog/

While we do have some sales happening throughout the year, a sale is not planned for the base products for now. I suggest subscribing to our newsletter as well as following us on social media (Facebook page) as sale announcements would be surely communicated via these channels.

Try out the free trial of the software to see how you like it and how it can benefit your work. If you have any questions about the software, be sure to let us know anytime. Let us know how it goes :)
