Hign Sample Rate Distortion

Hi,

I just downloaded Sonarworks and used it as a plugin in Audirvana. The Sonarworks indeed outperformed all my EQ profiles, and I was about to make the purchase.

However, it seems there is massive distortion on 384khz playbacks, which sounds like some static noise. I am wondering if this is fixable.

Sorry to hear you are encountering some trouble! Is this happening only with sample rates higher than 192kHz? When using other sample rates, is the playback experiencing any distortion as well?

Depending on your gear, you can look into the buffer size settings and increase it to try and get rid of the distortion in playback.

Thank you for your reply.

After tweaking some settings, I found out that the Audirvana Integer Mode caused it. The Integer Mode allows the player to communicate with the DAC without using the kernel of the operating system.

I turned the Integer mode off, and the noise was gone. It would be great if Sonarworks could support Integer mode in the future.
