How can I change default format from 32 bit, 44100 Hz to 24 bit, 44100 Hz?

Hi Mat,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Yes, when using the SoundID Reference app it will set the default output to the SoundID Reference virtual audio device. This way the audio signal can be processed and sent back to the audio interface you're using. The sample rate will change if you make the changes to your audio interface, when the change has been made you will be notified by the SoundID Reference app, unless, you have turned off the notification. As for the bit depth, it cannot be changed, we use the 32-bit float bit depth for the best audio quality. In music production perhaps you don't require so much of a headroom, however, please keep in mind that the SoundID Reference application is used for systemwide calibration, when working in DAW you're welcome to use the SoundID Reference plugin, this way your audio interface can be kept at 44.1 kHz 24 bit.
