How to trial and activate Virtual Monitoring Add-on

Start a free trial or activate your license for the Virtual Monitoring Add-on for SoundID Reference. 

In this article:

• Launch a free trial for the Virtual Monitoring Add-on
• Activate a permanent license for the Virtual Monitoring Add-on

Launch a free trial for the Virtual Monitoring Add-on

With the release of the Virtual Monitoring Add-on, free trials and trial extensions are available to new and existing users, as well as license owners. This means that any SoundID Reference user can start a new trial for the Virtual Monitoring Add-on from Sonarworks Account.

• New trial users - Virtual Monitoring is added to the trial automatically
• Existing trial users - a trial reactivation is available to include Virtual Monitoring
• License owners - a trial for Virtual Monitoring is available

How to activate trial:

1. Update to the latest version of SoundID Reference - download here
2. Access your Sonarworks Account
3. Navigate to the Virtual Monitoring Add-on, and click on 'Activate on this device' (existing license owners), or click on 'Launch your free trial' (new or returning trialists)

Activate a permanent license for the Virtual Monitoring Add-on

The Virtual Monitoring feature requires an add-on license that can be purchased in Sonarworks Store. The add-on license must be registered with a Sonarworks Account before the feature can be used:

1. Update to the latest version of SoundID Reference - download here
2. Access your Sonarworks Account
3. Click on 'Register a new license'
4. Enter your license key and click on 'Register'
5. Under the Virtual Monitoring Add-On, click on 'Activate on this device'
