Does SoundID Reference microphone require phantom power?

Yes, SoundID Reference Measurement Mic is a condenser microphone and it requires phantom power to work. If you have switched the phantom power on but your microphone isn't working, it is worth checking if the cable isn't faulty or if it supports phantom power at all.

Most standard balanced XLR cables (Male to Female XLR cable as shown in the image above) will be able to transmit phantom power but not all XLR to TRS cables will so make sure that your cable can supply phantom power to the microphone!
