Value-Added Tax (VAT) in EU countries
For EU Member State countries, VAT applies when ordering products in Sonarworks Store. Based on your country of residence, the VAT rate may vary but the product and shipping cost will remain the same, as the VAT is already included in the price. This rule applies to all products in Sonarworks Store.

VAT in countries/states outside EU
In most non-EU countries VAT is not applied, however, there are some exceptions where VAT will be added since in these countries/states Sonarworks has reached the Sales/VAT tax nexus. Therefore Sales tax or VAT is applicable. Some of those countries are listed below.

VAT for these purchases within the countries/states listed above will be calculated and added to the order price in Sonarworks Store during checkout.
* Iceland: Iceland adds tax only to higher priced items, which for our store comes down to individually calibrated headphones and the Individual Headphone Calibration service.
** India: Karnataka state has less tax than the rest of India, at 9% instead of 18%.
General customs duties - Delivery Duty Paid (DDP)
For all international shipments purchased at Sonarwroks Store, customs-free shipping is in place. Orders placed from the Sonarworks Store are sold as “Delivery Duty Paid" (DDP).
With this, Sonarworks Store provides its customers with less risk, liability, and costs, as the basic customs duties are covered for international purchases.
Additional customs duties and fees
Due to the complex rules of international shipping, each county can have its own set of rules and additional fees for import shipments. These additional fees can't be covered even by having the DDP terms, such as brokerage costs, additional import fees to protect the local market, etc.
From experience, Brazil and India are one of the countries that have complex additional costs. Sonarworks doesn't have information on each country's sets of fees or rules. To understand them, please, contact your local legal customs entities.
